Procedures for the Feb. 16 Ailey II Performance

The following policy applies to the Ailey II performance at Macky Auditorium on Feb. 16 only:

  • All patrons must present proof of full vaccination against COVID or a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours before attending this performance. (See FAQ below for more details.)
  • All patrons over 17 must show a government-issued photo ID matching the vaccination record or test results.
  • Masks are required for all audience members ages 2+ in alignment with campus policy for indoor public spaces.

“Fully vaccinated” means individuals must complete their full course of COVID shot(s) 14 days prior to an event. A full course of shots is considered two shots of Pfizer or Moderna, or one shot of Johnson & Johnson.

If you are unable to adhere to these policies, contact the box office to discuss your options, which include a refund, credit on account or the donation of your tickets back to CU Presents.

Vaccine questions

What qualifies as “fully vaccinated”?

How do I show proof of vaccination when I arrive? 

In order to provide proof of vaccination, patrons must have a government-issued photo ID AND present one of the following at the Macky entrance:

  • The myColorado app that shows your name, date of vaccination, and the location of vaccination. Please be sure to test the app shortly before you arrive in case you encounter any software bugs.
  • A  high-resolution, legible photograph of the front and back of your CDC-issued COVID Vaccination Record Card on a smartphone
  • A physical copy of your CDC-approved COVID Vaccination Record Card showing the date and location of vaccination
How early will vaccination checks begin prior to this performance?

Verification will begin at 6 p.m. at Macky Auditorium. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Please arrive earlier than usual to leave time for verification.

What if I forget my proof of vaccination? 

If you forget any required documentation, you will not be permitted to enter the performance. You will be directed to the patron services team to discuss your ticketing options/alternatives.

We recommend downloading a verified app such as myColorado in advance of the performance so you can access documentation from your phone.

What if my child is too young to be eligible for vaccination?

Children under 5 will be admitted with a COVID PCR test result taken within 72 hours of the performance start time at an official testing center. Home tests will not be accepted.

What if I’m mid-way through the COVID vaccinations or 14 days haven’t passed since the second shot?

Partial vaccination will not be accepted as proof of vaccination. However, you are welcome to submit a negative COVID PCR test result taken within 72 hours of the performance start time instead of proof of vaccination.

Can I submit a religious or medical exemption instead of proof of vaccination?

No, religious or medical exemptions will not be accepted instead of proof of vaccination for this event. However, you are welcome to submit a negative COVID PCR test result taken within 72 hours of the performance start time instead of proof of vaccination.

Where do I go to get tested? Does showing an at-home rapid test or Antigen test negative result count?

No.

Does my child need to show a photo ID?

While ID is preferred for everyone, we do not require anyone 17 and under to show a government issued photo ID.
