John Gibert

John Gibert is Associate Professor of Classics. He specializes in Greek poetry, especially tragedy, comedy, and epic. His edition of Euripides’ Ion is in press (Cambridge), and he has recently completed articles on Hecuba, Medea, Ion, and “Euripides and the Development of Greek Tragedy.” At CU, where he has taught since 1992, he teaches on Greek literature, mythology, and gender and sexuality. Earlier CU productions in which he has been involved include Lysistrata and Burial at Thebes.
