David Korevaar and David Requiro come together to present a delightful evening of cello and piano music. Beethoven's lesser known 12 Variations on "Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen" boldly transforms Papageno's aria theme from "The Magic Flute" to illustrate different angles of the piece. Rounding out the concert are cello sonatas by Saint-Saëns and Franck, both boasting captivating virtuosity and turbulent finales.

PROGRAM: Ludwig van Beethoven: Twelve Variations on "Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen," Op. 66; Camille Saint-Saëns: Sonata for Cello and Piano in C minor, Op. 32; César Franck: Sonata for Cello and Piano in A Major

Featuring David Requiro, cello; and David Korevaar, piano
