University Choir and University Singers (2017)

The University Singers and University Choir are the College of Music's flagship choral ensembles. Join us for a concert on love and loss, in which both ensembles perform a poignant range of repertoire, from Allesandro Scarlatti's "Concerti sacrifice, opera seconda" to a new choral work, "Please Stay," by popular American composer Jake Runestad. New Associate Director of Choral Studies Elizabeth Swanson makes her first CU appearance directing the University Choir, and Cherry Creek High School's premier choir, the Meistersingers, performs a musical set conducted by Sarah Branton Harrison. The concert concludes with a collaborative performance of Flummerfelt's beloved "Danny Boy" arrangement, conducted by CU Director of Choral Studies Gregory Gentry.
