Let me see, let me see; is not the leaf turned down Where I left reading? Here it is, I think.
CSF is launching our first ever book club! Members will meet once a month to chat about the five plays in our 2018 season, guided by CSF staff. Experience the pleasure of discovering and discussing the richness of character, language, plot complications, and modern interpretations of Shakespeare (and non-Shakespeare) plays with other Shakespeare fans. Participants must purchase their own copies of the plays. Seating is limited, register today! Ages 18+.
Class meets monthly, on Wednesday evenings, 6:00-7:50 pm.
January 24: "Love's Labour's Lost"
February 21: "Richard III"
March 21: "Edward III"
April 18: "Cyrano de Bergerac"
May 16: "You Can't Take It With You"
Each participant is responsible for securing copies of the books. Most of these books are easily available from local libraries or Amazon. We recommend the following versions; but any version will do:
"Love’s Labour’s Lost": Arden edition, Third Series
"Richard III": Arden edition, Third Series
"Edward III": Arden edition, Third Series
"Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand: Anthony Burgess translation (CSF will use this version in production, but there are many available translations)
"You Can’t Take it With You" by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman: Dramatist edition (but any version you find will do)
