In this semester’s presentation of Eklund Opera Scenes, graduate students direct their colleagues in pieces spanning the entire operatic canon. Student-directed scenes include excerpts from "Carmen," "Lucia di Lammermoor," "Hansel and Gretel" and "Elmer Gantry." The scenes are produced with lighting, costumes and projections. Free to the public, this event showcases not only brilliant student performances, but also gives the audience an in-depth look at how students begin to develop and hone their directing and staging skills.
