Leonard Bernstein wrote: "Jazz is the ultimate common denominator of the American musical style." The Thompson Jazz Studies Program faculty presents an eclectic program of standards and originals that celebrate Bernstein's centenary and his love of jazz.
Featuring Brad Goode, trumpet; Paul McKee, trombone; John Gunther, reeds; Victor Mestas, piano; Dave Corbus, guitar; Bijoux Barbosa, bass; and Paul Romaine, drums.
Bernstein at 100 is the worldwide celebration of the 100th birthday of Leonard Bernstein, the composer, conductor, educator, musician, cultural ambassador and humanitarian. Join the CU Boulder College of Music as our ensembles, students, faculty and guests embark on a journey through Bernstein’s lifework this semester.
