Carter Pann: Third String Quartet

Founded in September 2016, Ajax Quartet is an emerging string quartet comprised of violinists Tom Yaron and Renée Hemsing Patten, violist Mario Rivera and cellist Eric Haugen. Only months after its founding, Ajax was selected by the Grammy award-winning Takács Quartet for the prestigious Graduate Quartet Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. In Spring 2018, Ajax won the silver medal prize at the Coltman National Chamber Music Competition in Austin, Texas. Tour highlights from the 2018-19 season include a program at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland, and a Carnegie Hall debut.
