Public Talk

Guest artists and scholars Joshua Horowitz and Cookie Segelstein from the trio Veretski Pass present a public talk on klezmer music. Horowitz demonstrates internal modal characteristics of klezmer, which is Jewish instrumental music from Eastern Europe. He and Segelstein are then joined by CU Boulder Associate Professor of Music Theory Yonatan Malin for a conversation about about their backgrounds in klezmer music and their paths towards new and traditional works.

This event is presented in partnerships with the Program in Jewish Studies.
