"I'm calling to know the world's true yearning, the hunger that a child feels for everything they're shown. You watch me! Just watch me. I'm calling, and one day all will know."
Book and Lyrics by Steven Sater
Music by Duncan Sheik
Based on the play by Frank Wedekind
In "the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade," (Entertainment Weekly) "Spring Awakening"—winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical—explores the sometimes perilous journey from adolescence to adulthood. Told through the lens of Germany in 1891, the electrifying stories of sex, sexuality and teenage rebellion are as modern as pop and rock and roll.
Cecilia J. Pang directs a cast of CU Theatre & Dance's talented student performers in the elegant University Theatre.
"Spring Awakening" is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
