On Hold: CU Presents Digital Communications Assistant, University of Colorado Boulder

CU Presents has received the unexpected opportunity to rethink our employee structure a bit (in a good way!). With that in mind, we’re pressing a slight pause on hiring for this job, as the roles and responsibilities might end up being different from what they’ve been in the past. CU Presents will keep this page updated as we know more about the evolution of this position, as well as when we’re looking to continue accepting applications to refill the position.

CU Presents is seeking a year-round student Digital Communications Assistant beginning as soon as possible. Duties include assisting CU Presents staff in managing event promotional content across web and social platforms and other duties.

The successful applicant will be required to commit to the position at least through Spring 2020.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder; position terminates upon graduation.

Compensation

$12.24 per hour. Two complimentary tickets to most CU Presents shows.

CU Presents Public Relations Manager Becca Vaclavik

Schedule

15 hours per week. Hours are predominantly spent in the office weekdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and some weekdays/weekends 6-8 p.m.

Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Self-guided management and promotion of CU Presents events through online event listings
  • Management and proofing of CU Presents events data
  • Some guided social media and website contribution
  • Guided content updates for cupresents.org (a WordPress site)
  • Guided content changes for CU College of Music website (a Drupal site)
  • Monitoring of Google Analytics
  • General office support as needed

  • Self organization and guidance on projects
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills

  • Information organization
  • Self guidance on projects and initiatives
