CURRENTLY SEEKING: Marketing Assistant (student)
CU Presents is seeking a student Marketing Assistant to support promotional initiatives for over 300 free events held annually at the CU Boulder College of Music. In addition to this primary responsibility, the role will also involve assisting with promotions for the Takács Quartet, the Artist Series, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and the CU Boulder Department of Theatre & Dance.
Compensation
- $17-$18 per hour

Schedule
- During the academic year and summer semester, up to 10 hours per week.
- During the first 1-3 months after hiring, weekly hours will begin at 3-5 hours for training purposes. Hours will increase once the current position holder departs.
- A hybrid work model will include one day in the office, primarily on Wednesdays, and other days as needed.
- Work hours are primarily during business days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but flexibility is available to accommodate class schedules.
- Working after hours or on weekends may occasionally be necessary.

Job Duties
- Manage the content for student recital listings at colorado.edu/music, including the uploading of event programs.
- Send email reminders to the College of Music faculty and respond to their questions and requests.
- Update artist and performer headshots and bios for College of Music free events
- Post articles to the CU Presents “features” webpage
- Send or submit event information to Daily Camera, CU Boulder Today and other earned media opportunities
- Uploading event programs to event pages and the program’s landing page at cupresents.org
- Send event programs to libraries for archiving via OneDrive shared folder
- Distribute CU Presents marketing collateral
- Hang promotional marquees in various locations around campus
- Manage and send survey feedback to CU Presents partners
- Collect and organize attendee counts for in-person and virtual free events at the College of Music
- Check digital ad engagement through META Ads Manager and invite users to like the CU Presents Facebook page
- Assist Marketing Manager with promotional emails as needed
- Some at-event support may be requested as needed
- Provide general office support as required
Minimum Job Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder; this position ends upon graduation
- Applicants will be asked to commit to the position at least through Spring 2027
Preferred Qualifications
- Seeking a degree that’s related to the performing arts, marketing or other relevant degree
Skillset (existing or to be developed)
- Experience with Microsoft Office apps such as Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams
- Experience with Google apps such as Docs, Sheets and Drive
- Experience with a web content management system such as WordPress
- Ability to take initiative and work independently after initial training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; using AP style
- Basic proofreading skills and attention to detail
