Joshua Redman is perhaps the most acclaimed and charismatic jazz artist to have emerged in the decade of the 1990s. A Harvard graduate who was accepted to Yale Law School, he chose the jazz life, taking first place in the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition in 1991.
