Join the Boulder Laptop Orchestra in its tenth anniversary celebration of electro-acoustic music making. Very special guest artist violinist Todd Reynolds performs his "present" music.
PROGRAM: John Gunther: "Laugh!"; John Drumheller: "Travel Free with the KGB"; Wayne Shorter: "Sanctuary"; Miles Davis: "It's About That Time"; Joe Zawinul: "In a Silent Way"; John Zorn: "Hadasha"; and original compositions by Todd Reynolds
Todd Reynolds is known as one of the founding fathers of the hybrid-musician movement and one of the most active proponents of what he calls "present music." For years the violinist of choice for Steve Reich, Meredith Monk and Bang on a Can, his compositional and performance style is a hybrid of old and new technology, multi-disciplinary aesthetic and pan-genre composition and improvisation.
