Bassoonist Yoshi Ishikawa, in collaboration with guest bassoonist Carlo Colombo and members of the CU Bassoon Studio, presents a concert of delightful and rarely performed compositions for solo and multiple bassoons.

The CU Bassoon studio, led by Yoshiyuki Ishikawa, maintains talented, diverse and dedicated students from around the globe. Currently, his studio has students from the United States, China, Korea and Taiwan. Formally, students from Australia, Israel and Japan have studied with Ishikawa. Graduates have won positions with orchestras and universities including Baton Rouge Symphony, Colorado Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Manhattan School of Music, Louisiana State University, University of Texas San Antonio, University of Wyoming and the Winston-Salem Symphony. In spring 2018, his international student from South Korea, YoonJoo Hwang (Doctor of Musical Arts in bassoon performance and pedagogy, Spring 2018), was appointed as the assistant professor of bassoon at Central Florida University.
Please note: Due to popular demand for Faculty Tuesdays concerts, we advise arriving early to secure a seat. These concerts are general admission on a first-come-first-served basis. House doors open 30 minutes before concert start.
