Pendulum New Music

Pendulum New Music is excited to announce its closing concert of the season featuring solo, chamber and choral works by CU composers Nelson Walker, Josh Maynard, Jessie Lausé, Keenan Powell and Ryan Flat. The concert will also feature the award-winning Ivalas Quartet, our Graduate String Quartet in Residence studying with our renowned Takács Quartet. The quartet will be premiering Kevin Gunia's Second String Quartet.

Pendulum is a concert series and forum for the creation and performance of new and original works by CU student composers, songwriters, improvisers and collaborators. Every concert features multiple world premieres by living composers and creators. Each event is eclectic and can feature anything from acoustic chamber ensembles to immersive electroacoustic works and film scores, performed by CU’s own students as well as internationally renowned guests.

From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
