Chamber Orchestra

The CU Boulder Chamber Orchestra presents A Fable and Two Symphonies. Two distinctive second symphonies by French composers Chevalier de Saint-Georges and Camille Saint-Saëns bookend the program and—in a work inspired by the Russian fable "Dancing Fish"—English composer Cecilia McDowall takes the audience on a journey filled with irony and humor. This piece features Assistant Professor of Saxophone Nathan Mertens on soprano saxophone and Javier Abreu as narrator.

The Chamber Orchestra, made up of members of the CU Symphony Orchestra, performs smaller-scale symphonies and chamber works by classical and modern composers.

From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
