Juniper Winds—the College of Music's graduate woodwind quintet in residence—will present an evening of delightful and engaging chamber music for winds. The program—including music by Valerie Coleman, Maurice Ravel, Ingolf Dahl and Anton Reicha—will reveal the rich history of woodwind quintet literature from 1818 to 2006.

Hailing from Texas, Illinois, California and Colombia, Juniper Winds formed in August 2024. Members serve as teaching assistants and mentors for the CU Boulder College of Music's flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon studios. The ensemble performs two recitals each year as well as outreach programs in the Boulder community and beyond, including an educational residency with the Aspen Music Festival and School. Juniper Winds—comprising flutist Natalie Trejo, oboist Lauren Breen, clarinetist Harold Gómez-Montoya, hornist Max Braun and bassoonist Madison Triplett—are coached by Professor of Bassoon Yoshi Ishikawa and other woodwind faculty.

Graduate students from the woodwind and horn studios at the College of Music perform works written for flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn.

From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
