Internationally acclaimed cellist Jesús Castro-Balbi and College of Music faculty David Korevaar and Andrea Segar will join together in a Valentine’s Day celebration of the beauty in music. Ludwig van Beethoven’s warm and brilliant Cello Sonata in A Major and Mel Bonis’ rarely heard Cello Sonata bring together longtime friends and colleagues Castro-Balbi and Korevaar. Henri Dutilleux’s “Strophes” for solo cello and Maurice Ravel’s Piano Trio in A minor round out the evening.
