Master Class

The Persevering Legacy project invites you to observe a master class featuring alumnus Gregory T.S. Walker working with CU Boulder College of Music students. Walker is a professor of Media and Entertainment Studies at CU Denver and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is an American Academy of Arts and Letters Fellowship recipient and International Musician cover artist as well as former concertmaster of the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also the son of distinguished musicologist Helen Walker-Hill whose collection is housed in our American Music Research Center.

The CU Boulder College of Music brings esteemed professional musicians from around the world together with students for an in-depth study of music performance. Audiences may observe students performing excerpts from pieces in their repertoire then exploring the work further with one-on-one coaching.
