Dawson White, a viola artist-teacher and career coach, has made a profound impact in transforming both audiences and the careers of musicians. His extensive career includes over a decade as a former section violist with the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet orchestras, and ongoing collaborations with the Houston Symphony and the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.

As an educator, Dawson has successfully mentored students into The Juilliard School, Cleveland Institute of Music, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Aspen Music Festival and School, Tanglewood and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, among others.

As CEO of Aspire Music, Dawson addresses a critical gap in traditional music education by integrating artist career design and self-management skills into his programs. These offerings are designed to help musicians understand both the "why" behind their music creation and the "how" of thriving in their careers.

Dawson's doctoral studies at the University of North Texas in viola performance and music business & entrepreneurship further enhance his expertise, with an upcoming dissertation on music careers.
