CURRENTLY SEEKING: Senior Marketing Assistant (student)
CU Presents is seeking a student Senior Marketing Assistant to support promotional initiatives for over 300 free events held annually at the CU Boulder College of Music. In addition to this primary responsibility, the role will also involve assisting with promotions for the Takács Quartet, the Artist Series, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and the CU Boulder Department of Theatre & Dance.
Compensation
- $17-$21 per hour

Schedule
- During the academic year, up to 19 hours per week; during the summer months, up to 40 hours per week.
- During the first 1-3 months after hiring, weekly hours will begin at 5-10 for training purposes. Hours will increase once the current position holder departs.
- A hybrid work model will include one day in the office, primarily on Wednesdays, but other days as needed.
- Work hours are primarily during business days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but flexibility is available to accommodate class schedules.
- Working after hours or on weekends may occasionally be necessary.

Job Duties
- Oversee and maintain event listings for over 300 free College of Music performances, including verifying, proofing, and updating information; curate multimedia content for digital promotions as needed; and respond to faculty and staff inquiries regarding event listings
- Building digital ads in Meta Ads Manager for free College of Music events
- Manage event calendar listings for all CU Presents events with Eventsta and Facebook event pages.
- Create weekly promotional and daily reminder emails for College of Music events
- Add event content as needed to third-party platforms such as Google Business and Yelp
- Help other student Marketing Assistant with general questions and projects as needed
- Provide general office support as required
Minimum job requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder; this position ends upon graduation
- Applicants will be asked to commit to the position at least through Spring 2027
Preferred Qualifications
- Seeking a degree that’s related to the performing arts, marketing or other relevant degree
- Graduate student
Skillset (existing or to be developed)
- Experience with WordPress content management platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Office apps such as Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams
- Experience with Google apps such as Docs, Sheets and Drive
- Experience with Canva for image resizing and other image needs
- Experience and knowledge of SEO best practices
- Ability to take initiative and work independently after initial training
- Information organization
- Basic proofreading skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of AP Style guidelines
- Self-organization and self-guidance on most projects
- Strong communication and speaking skills
