The Acting Studio (C240) is located on the second floor of the east wing of the University Theatre Building.

The Acting Studio (C240) is a versatile performance space. When you are standing in the lobby of the Roe Green Theatre, look to your right up the stairs, where you will see the studio’s red wall. There is no late seating in the Acting Studio for ticketed performances. Arrive early to choose a great seat in this general admission venue.

Ride services like Lyft, Uber or Boulder Yellow Cab (now called Z-Trip) offer convenient drop-off options near the venue.

Public Transportation

RTD's extensive network connects the Denver/Boulder region to the CU Boulder campus. Use the RTD trip planner or a transit navigation app like Google Maps to find the most convenient route.

Biking

All CU Presents venues have nearby outdoor bike racks. No bike? No problem! Boulder B-cycle offers an easy and affordable bike-sharing system with 41 stations around town and on the CU Boulder campus.

Accessibility

2024/25 ADA Parking Update

Due to construction at the Hellems building, ADA parking in Lot 208 is unavailable. On show nights at the Roe Green Theatre, Lot 233 will serve as an ADA drop-off zone for easier access to the University Theatre building. For ADA parking, please use Lot 380 along Pleasant Street or the Euclid Avenue Autopark. Note that Lot 233 is only for drop-offs and parking there during the show is not allowed.

Wheelchair-accessible elevators

Elevator access to the Box Office and accessible restrooms in the lower lobby are reached via the east entrance to the University Theatre Building. Elevator access to the Acting Studio is reached via the south entrance to the University Theatre next to the loading dock.

Patrons in wheelchairs can be accommodated at each Acting Studio event. If you'd like to make prior arrangements in order to receive the best possible seating, please call the Box Office at 303-492-8008. 

Service dogs allowedService dogs

Subject to some limitations, service animals that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability may accompany patrons in all CU Presents venues.

Assistance animals (therapy animals, emotional support or comfort animals) are generally not allowed to accompany patrons into our venues.

Concessions are available at CU Theatre & Dance performances courtesy of CU OnStage. 

Policies

Door opening times

Facilities open one hour before performances. Performance doors open approximately 20 minutes before start time.

Late seating 

There is no late seating in the Acting Studio for ticketed performances.

Electronic devices

Laptops, tablets, phones and other mobile devices must be switched to silent mode in the hall. All screens must be off when performers are on the stage to avoid disturbing other patrons.

Recording devices

No photography, video or sound recording of any kind is allowed during events.

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the CU Boulder campus.
