CURRENTLY SEEKING: Web Editorial Assistant

CU Presents is seeking a student Web Editorial Assistant beginning Spring Semester 2021. Duties include assisting CU Presents staff in managing and editing web properties for CU Presents and its creative partners on campus (CU College of Music, CU Department of Theatre & Dance and Colorado Shakespeare Festival).

The successful applicant will be asked to commit to the position at least through Spring 2022. Eligible applicants must be enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder; position terminates upon graduation.


$13.19 per hour. Two complimentary tickets to most CU Presents shows.

Direct Supervisor

College of Music Director of Communications Jessie Bauters


8 hours per week. Hours are predominantly spent during business hours, weekdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Duties include, but are not limited to

  • Primary support for Jessie Bauters, CU Presents Assistant Marketing Director Daniel Leonard and CU Presents PR Manager Becca Vaclavik
  • Guided management of content on CU Presents and CU College of Music websites, following strategy of managers
  • Daily updates to text and image content for CU College of Music website (a Drupal site), including creation of the college’s weekly email newsletter
  • Guided content updates for (a WordPress site)
  • Monitoring of Google Analytics
  • General office support as needed

Skillset (existing or to be developed)

  • Experience on the Drupal and/or WordPress content management platforms
  • Experience on CU’s custom Drupal environment, Web Express
  • Experience and knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Self organization and guidance on projects
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Google Suite experience
  • Information organization
  • Clear, concise and engaging writing
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Basic proofreading skills and an eye for detail
  • A basic knowledge of AP Style guidelines
