Thompson Jazz Studies is excited to present Grammy-winning composer and bandleader Maria Schneider leading the Concert Jazz Ensemble in an evening of her own compositions. Schneider’s music blurs the lines between genres, making her long list of commissioners quite varied, stretching from Jazz at Lincoln Center to The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra to collaborating with David Bowie.
PROGRAM: Maria Schneider: "Night Watchmen," "Cerulean Skies," "Wyrgly," "Home," "Walking by Flashlight" and more.
Directed by Maria Schneider
