Picnicking

75 minutes before showtime, our grounds come alive with picnickers. Bring your dinner with you to the Hellems Lawn and Shakespeare Gardens, open for physically distanced picnicking with friends and family. Please note that onsite concessions will not be offered at this year’s festival.

“Out of this nettle, danger, we pluck this flower, safety.” —Henry IV, Part I

At the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, your safety and security remain a top priority. In light of the ongoing fight against COVID-19, we’re enacting new and enhanced health protocols onsite. These changes include distanced seating, contactless ticketing options, required masks and more. Of course, as we approach the festival’s opening, the policies may change based on up-to-date recommendations from campus and local health authorities; we will provide details as they become available. Thank you in advance for following festival protocols. Your efforts ensure a safe Shakespearience for everyone and make it possible for our company to finally return to the Mary Rippon.
