Colorado Shakespeare Gardens

For the event Picnicking you're going to Colorado Shakespeare Gardens

Colorado Shakespeare Gardens

CU Boulder Campus, Boulder, CO 80309

The Colorado Shakespeare Gardens are located in the Courtyard between Hellems, where the Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre is located, and the Education Building.

The Colorado Shakespeare Gardens, established in 1991, educates the public on the plants referenced in the works of William Shakespeare through cultivation of a public garden, free garden tours, public presentations and published research. Many of Shakespeare's plays are rich with quotations about plants and trees. Our goal is to grow plants that were authentic to Shakespeare's time.

CSG enthusiastically welcomes new members, donors and sponsors. We devote ourselves to work in the gardens from March through October. In the winter months, we gather periodically to prepare for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s upcoming season with presentations on the season’s Shakespeare plays and with plant research.
