Follow the hilarious origin story of Jack Falstaff—described by Orson Welles as “Shakespeare’s greatest creation”—and discover how young Jack came to be the infamous knight we meet in three of Shakespeare’s plays. Commissioned by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, this brilliant, new adventure tale imagines what secrets may be lurking behind Falstaff’s rowdy, boastful exterior.
Kevin Rich (Illinois Shakespeare Festival, American Shakespeare Center, Nebraska Repertory Theatre) directs a cast of CU Theatre & Dance Department's talented young performers. Tickets sell fast, but in the intimate Loft Theatre, every audience member gets a front row experience to this new play.
"Falstaff in Love" was commissioned by Oregon Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director, Bill Rauch and Executive Director, Cynthia Rider.
