The Importance of Being Earnest

"We should treat all trivial things in life very seriously, and all serious things of life with a sincere and studied triviality." —Oscar Wilde

Blissfully silly and outrageously shrewd, "The Importance of Being Earnest" tells the hilarious story of four young lovers, their impetuous engagements and an elusive rogue (or two) named Ernest. Oscar Wilde's infamous farce continues to delight audiences with endlessly clever language, charming characters, and a biting satire of wealthy societies.

Presented by the CU Boulder College of Arts and Sciences Department of Theatre & Dance. Due to renovations to the University and Loft Theaters, this production will be taking place in the Old Main Chapel.
