Ann Piano
ANN PIANO has a BFA in fashion design from Stephens College (1988). She attended CU Boulder’s Department of Theatre & Dance from 1999 to 2001. Locally, she has costumed over 20 productions for Miner's Alley Playhouse, over 10 productions for Curious Theatre and various shows for Aurora Fox Theater, Benchmark Theater, Performance Now, and Metro State University. In 2012, she won the John Moore True West Award for "The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity" at Curious Theatre. Since 2003, Piano has served as the costume coordinator for Opera Colorado. There she designed costumes for "Don Giovanni" (2013), "Carmen" (2014), "The Magic Flute" (2015), and all the Education touring productions. In 2016, she became the resident costume designer for Opera Steamboat, most recent productions include "Frida" and "Rusalka." In 2018, she designed "Tosca" for Bravo!Vail, their first staged opera. For Eklund Opera she has designed "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Hansel and Gretel."
