Elizabeth Strickland

Elizabeth Strickland, 29, is a graduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder, pursuing her doctorate degree in piano performance under Dr. Jennifer Hayghe. As a Teaching Assistant at CU Boulder, she enjoys teaching group piano classes to music majors and serving as the Continuing Education Applied Music Advisor for the College of Music. Recent accomplishments include attending Mélange Vienna and the Brancaleoni International Music Festival in Piobbico, Italy in summer 2019, winning first place at the Oklahoma Music Teacher’s Association Collegiate Competition in 2017, attending Brevard Music Festival in 2017, and performing in Austria in the summer of 2015 and 2016 at Classical Music Festival. Elizabeth completed her master’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy in 2018 at the University of Oklahoma, studying with Dr. Jane Magrath. When not practicing, Elizabeth enjoys cooking, hiking and teaching survival skills in the Pacific Northwest.
