College of Music Musical Theatre
Founded in 2019, the Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre (BM/MT) at the University of Colorado Boulder combines rigorous training in voice, acting, and dance with strong foundations in musicianship, theory, keyboard skills, and theatre history.
The program is a collaboration between the College of Music and the Department of Theatre & Dance, and it works closely with the Eklund Opera Program on joint productions. Students have performed in fully staged musicals such as Chicago, Big Fish, Guys and Dolls, and Titanic, along with freshman showcases, ensemble studio scenes, choral and opera theatre performances, and additional Theatre & Dance productions.
Boulder audiences have responded with enthusiasm, turning out for performances and offering glowing feedback. Your gift supports student scholarships, production costs, performance venues, guest artists, and the creative energy that turns learning into live performance. With your help, CU’s Musical Theatre Program will continue to grow and inspire both students and audiences.
