Persevering Legacy Master Class

CU Denver Professor Gregory Walker will present about the work of his mother, Helen Walker-Hill, and the origins of the American Music Research Center's Walker-Hill collection of music by Black women composers. During the second hour, Walker will coach student performers who will play during the Persevering Legacy concerts on Feb. 9 and 16.

The CU Boulder College of Music brings esteemed professional musicians from around the world together with CU students for in-depth study on music performance. Audiences will get to see students perform excerpts from pieces in their repertoire then explore the work further with one-on-one coaching.
