The Ivalas Quartet seeks to disrupt and enhance the classical music world with voices less known and sometimes as yet unheard. By performing works for string quartet written by underrepresented composers of color, the Ivalas Quartet strives to bring together diverse audiences in musical celebration, and inspire using musical sounds from cultures and communities that echo their own.
The Ivalas Quartet features violinists Reuben Kebede and Tiani Butts, violist Aimée McAnulty and cellist Pedro Sánchez.
