Faculty Tuesdays

Join the College of Music’s Assistant Professor of Violin Alex Gonzalez for his first solo recital at CU Boulder! In the spirit of new beginnings, Gonzalez will present a program of pieces that are newly composed and use the violin in new ways–including some that are new to Gonzalez, himself. The program will include works by Phillip Glass, Ahmet Adnan Sagyun, Daniel Kidane, Kenji Bunch, Missy Mazzoli and Richard Strauss. Gonzalez will perform alongside his fantastic colleagues Margaret McDonald and Alexandra Nguyen, both associate professors of collaborative piano.

Renowned CU Boulder College of Music faculty artists perform with students and colleagues in chamber music recitals featuring world premieres and beloved classics. Join us for this free series in person at Grusin Music Hall or via livestream most Tuesdays August through March.
