Shakespeare and the Stars

• Youth class (ages 8-11): Saturdays, Oct. 1-22, 9a-11am
• Teen class (ages 12-18): Saturdays, Oct. 29-Nov. 19, 9am-11am

In each 4-week class, students will explore the many ways Shakespeare’s works are influenced by an understanding of the planets, stars, and celestial bodies. Students will engage with Shakespeare’s text, dig for clues about astronomy embedded within the 400-year-old plays, and prepare monologues and scenes for an informal showing on the last day of class. This class will help students explore the connections between theatre and the stars. Open to students of all experience levels and abilities.

Location: Classes will take place inside the Imig Music Building (on campus at CU Boulder).

Bonus: each class will also tour Fiske Planetarium, on campus at CU Boulder!

Cancellation Policy: Sometimes plans change--if yours do after you sign up, please keep in mind the following. Tuition for multi-week classes includes a non-refundable $25 registration fee and all cancellations must be in writing (email qualifies as "in writing"). If you cancel 14 calendar days before your scheduled class starts, you will receive a full refund (less registration fees). Fewer than 14 calendar days before your scheduled class, there are no refunds.
