What is “playing?” When we were young, we played without hesitation. As we grow older, we move past play and the simple joys it brings. The CU Boulder Concert Band and Campus Band invite you to join us as we explore the joy and wonder of play and what the human imagination can create. This concert is an immersive experience with narration, audience participation and pops of vibrant colors. Both ensembles will perform original works for band and movie music that take us on a colorful journey to a world of our pure imagination.
CU Boulder's Concert Band and Campus Band comprise both music majors and non-music majors. Exploring traditional and contemporary works for band, the ensembles are known for their consistently high level of performance. Participating musicians are offered the opportunity to share in the excitement of the creative process as they broaden their musical experiences. These bands maintain an active schedule.
From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
