Come celebrate the CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra’s season opening with “Festivals” in Macky Auditorium! This concert features Graduate Honors Division Competition Winner Rinat Erlichman who will perform Jean Sibelius' rhapsodic Violin Concerto in D minor. The concert begins with Jessie Montgomery’s explosive “Starburst” for string orchestra and concludes with Ottorino Respighi’s masterful tone poem, “Feste Romane” (Roman Festivals).

The CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra performs a diverse repertoire, including symphonies and large-scale orchestral works by major composers, at Macky Auditorium. From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
