Join Professor of Flute Christina Jennings for "Threads of Silver, Ties of Gold," an evening that celebrates the flute through community. In an intriguing program that showcases the flute in solo, duo, quartet and a 50-member flute orchestra, Jennings reunites with CU Boulder flute studio alumni from her 20 years on the College of Music faculty.
The program begins with Charles Ives' "Unanswered Question," continues with Luciano Berio’s arrangement of Beatles songs and stops along the way for music of Helen Fisher, Dianna Link, Lowell Liebermann and others. Jennings is joined by many faculty and staff musicians university-wide, area high school musicians and a host of people who have the flute in their hearts: Always a Flutist!
Renowned CU Boulder College of Music faculty artists perform with students and colleagues in chamber music recitals featuring world premieres and beloved classics. Join us for this free series in person at Grusin Music Hall or via livestream most Tuesdays from August through March.
