Experience Nathan Mertens and Gillian Blair in a joyful saxophone recital celebrating a decade of friendship and collaboration! The duo first met while studying in France and have been making music together ever since.

This program features works written for them and by them—full of personality, playfulness and deep connection. With a shared sense of humor and a serious passion for the saxophone, Mertens and Blair bring their unique energy to every note. Expect some laughs, a few surprises and an evening of music that reflects who they are as artists and friends!

Renowned CU Boulder College of Music faculty artists perform with students and colleagues in chamber music recitals featuring world premieres and beloved classics. Join us for this free series in person at Grusin Music Hall or via livestream most Tuesdays from August through March.
