CU Boulder's top College of Music graduate students compete for a monetary grand prize in the Bruce Ekstrand Memorial Graduate Student Performance Competition, named for former Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Bruce Ekstrand.
This year's esteemed panel of judges includes Barbara Lynne Jamison, general director and CEO, Opera Colorado; College of Music alumnus Charles Lee (DMA, cello performance), principal cellist, Boulder Philharmonic and cello faculty, Metropolitan State University and Regis University; Rita Sloan, professor emeritus of collaborative piano, University of Maryland and founder, Aspen Music Festival collaborative piano program.
