The CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra is coming out of the gates strong this fall with its first program of the season: "Fountains!" The program will feature Ottorino Respighi's vivid and colorful tone poem "The Fountains of Rome." Additionally, guest composer Quinn Mason will be present for the Colorado premiere of his new "Serenade for Strings"; CU Boulder's orchestras were part of the consortium that commissioned this beautiful work. The evening will conclude with some of the most moving and thrilling music ever written—Richard Strauss' Suite from his sumptuous opera "Der Rosenkavalier."
The CU Boulder Symphony Orchestra performs a diverse repertoire, including symphonies and large-scale orchestral works by major composers, at Macky Auditorium.
