Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist—and artist-in-residence of the American Music Research Center and Center for African & African American Studies—Marco Pavé takes CU Boulder on a 10-year journey through his music. He’ll perform selections from his 2014 mixtape "Obscure Reality," his 2017 debut album "Welcome to Grc Lnd," the 2020 EP "Crossroads" and brand-new unreleased tracks premiering exclusively for CU Boulder audiences. Blending Memphis blues, gospel, soul and rap, Pavé’s music chronicles Southern Black life, resilience and hope. With sharp lyricism and magnetic stage presence, he delivers an unforgettable performance honoring his roots while pushing hip-hop forward.
