"Nobuntu"—an expression meaning feminine familial love, humility and kindness—is a female a cappella quintet from Zimbabwe that has drawn international acclaim for its breathtaking performances of traditional Zimbabwean songs, afro jazz and gospel.

“The inspiration for the group came from a need to fill a gap in our country,” says Nobuntu. “A cappella was one form of music that wasn’t occupied by women already, especially our traditional style, called mbube.”
