Thompson Vocal Jazz Ensemble
Spring 2026
Join the CU Boulder Thompson Vocal Jazz Ensemble for its spring 2026 performance presenting a diverse program of jazz standards, bebop, ballads and Brazilian repertoire. This eight-member group—directed by Jazz Studies Lecturer Jocelyn Medina with piano accompaniment and co-direction by jazz alum Milo Lewon—features vocalists from across the College of Music and a rhythm section comprising CU Boulder jazz instrumentalists. Listeners can anticipate an intimate evening of soulful serenades, adventuresome vocal improvisation, lush harmonies and hard swinging classic jazz by great composers and arrangers ranging—from Charlie Parker, Edu Lobo and Horace Silver to the New York Voices.
