Jupiter String Quartet
Known for its "technical finesse and rare expressive maturity" (The New Yorker), the Jupiter String Quartet brings a special program to Grusin Music Hall in October. First, a quartet from master Romantic composer Felix Mendelssohn, followed by a new commission by composer and violinist Michi Wiancko, whose work has been lauded by The Strad as “intriguing and exquisitely beautiful.” Schubert's treasured “Death and the Maiden” quartet, considered a pillar of chamber music repertoire, completes the event.
The Jupiter String Quartet features Nelson Lee and Meg Freivogel, violin; Liz Freivogel, viola; and Daniel McDonough, cello.
