The CU Boulder Chamber Orchestra presents “Finding Light” featuring Associate Professor of Double Bass Susan Cahill, Assistant Professor of Violin Andrea Segar and composer Enrique Ponce. Cahill will perform Missy Mazzoli’s virtuosic bass concerto, “Dark with Excessive Bright;” Ponce’s moving work, “Memory of a Broken Wing”—performed by Segar— will receive its first live performance; and the program will conclude with Louise Farrenc’s passionate Symphony No. 3 in G minor.
The Chamber Orchestra, made up of members of the CU Symphony Orchestra, performs smaller-scale symphonies and chamber works by classical and modern composers.
