This program features two new Italian song cycles for classical guitar and tenor: Paolo Minetti’s “In memoria di Khayyám” based on 12th-century verses of the Persian poet and philosopher; and Corrado Margutti’s "Canzoni" which explores nine different poems, each in a different dialect of the Italian peninsula and its islands.
