Nisi Sturgis*

NISI STURGIS is thrilled to join CSF’s tremendously talented company. As an actor, she has performed on Broadway and at theatres across the country, including the Old Globe, Denver Center, Goodman, Berkeley Rep, Seattle Rep, Chautauqua Theatre Company and Williamstown Theatre Festival, with multiple seasons at Cleveland Play House, Illinois Shakespeare Festival and Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. A SAG member, she appeared in all five seasons of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and shared in a SAG Award–nominated ensemble. Some of her directing work includes Sense and Sensibility (Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey), The Wolves and References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot (Illinois Theatre) and The Winter’s Tale (Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre). Nisi holds an MFA from the Old Globe/USD and is an Associate Professor of Acting at UIUC.
