Myra Su

MYRA SU is a puppeteer and multimedia artist based in Chicago. She is interested in exploring ways to integrate analog puppets with digital technology. Her current project, STRIPES, explores perception through puppets using barcode scanners and light sensors. In addition to her independent work, Myra is a touring puppeteer and builder with Manual Cinema, an Emmy Award-winning performance collective. She co-curates Nasty, Brutish & Short, a puppet slam that is held six times a year and is a part of the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival’s staple programming every January.
